Wade S. Goins ('93) graduated from Urbana University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Wade played for the Blue Knight basketball team from 1990-93 and was a vital part of Urbana's two NAIA National Championship appearances in 1992 and 1993. During the 1992 campaign the Blue Knights made it to the Sweet Sixteen and in 1993 they went one step more to the Elite Eight, plus Urbana University won the Naismith-Liston Award for Sportsmanship.

Wade was a NAIA Men's Basketball All-American First Team selection in Division I in 1993. He led the nation in assists with 11.8 per game. He also shot 66 percent from the floor and averaged 12.4 points per game. He was All-Mid Ohio Conference and honored as an All-District 22 player. He holds the UU career record for assists (835), the season record for assists (402) and single game record for assists (22). Wade and his twin brother, Wyatt, appeared in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" on March 22, 1993.

Wade's coach Bob Ronai was quoted in 1992 as saying, "Wade sees the floor exceptionally well...his assists come because of his quick, accurate passes...his continued leadership on the floor will be a key factor to our success."

Wade is the son of William and Marion Goins. Wade's older brother Will was also a Blue Knight and influenced him to transfer to Urbana in 1990. Wade and his wife Jinette have a daughter Courtney, 3, and they reside in Cincinnati. Wade and Wyatt are co-owners of Innovative Marketing, also in Cincinnati.
