He returned in 1991 and was the Blue Knights' second leading tackler (97), earning him AllDistrict 22 accolades for the second time in his career. During his senior year, Card was named team captain and Urbana's most valuable defensive back. He was the key component in the Blue Knights' pass defense which ranked sixth in the nation. His efforts culminated in his third trip to the All-District 22 team and a selection as an all-American by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Card was always listed in the media guide as Urbana's strongest defensive back. The 6'0, 180-pound Card could bench 335 pounds. At the finish of his career he had shattered the Blue Knights' record for solo tackles with 187. Card also amassed 11 career interceptions.
He was a student assistant for the 1993 Blue Knight football squad, coaching the defensive backs.
