Men's Golf Places Third at Lourdes Invite

OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. – The Urbana University men's golf team returned to action Wednesday at the Lourdes Invite, hosted at the Legacy Golf Club. The Blue Knights finished third among the nine-team field with an overall team score of 320 (+32).

Freshman Martin Trochu tied for second overall on the player board with a team-low 76. Trochu recorded two birdies and got stronger as the round went on by carding a 37 on the back nine.

Mack Cushman and Luc Toupin tied for 14th (81) with three combined birdies. Cushman carded back-to-back birdies holes on 10 and 11, while Toupin birded hole 16.

Rounding out the Blue Knight lineup was Kyle Glaser (82) in 21st place and Eric Alexander (85) in 31st.

Host Lourdes (312) won the team title by two strokes over Siena Heights (314). Siena Heights' James Kuenzer claimed medalist honors with a 74 (+2).
