Petticrew & Toupin Lead UU at Highlands Cup

Blue Knights finish fourth at weekend tournament hosted by Ohio Valley

BELPRE, Ohio -- The Urbana University men's golf team finished fourth at the Highlands Cup Challenge, hosted by Ohio Valley University at Oxbow Golf Course. UU fired a first-round team score of 307 and bounced back with 299 in the final round on the Par-71, 6,635-yard course.

The Blue Knights finished two strokes behind third-place West Virginia Wesleyan with a two-round total of 606 (+38).

Zach Petticrew and Luc Toupin led UU as both finished at 3-over par 145 for third-place tie on the leaderboard. Petticrew carded a team-low 70 in the second round after shooting 75 in Round 1. Toupin recorded a consistent effort in both rounds with scores of 72 and 73, respectively.

Rounding out the lineup were Kyle Glaser (t-21st/156), Mack Cushman (28th/160), Brandon Davis (32nd/166), T.J. Fink (33rd/168), Andrew Tincher (34th/171) and Camden Van Velzor (38th/195).

UU will have its final tune-up before the conference championship when it travels to the Mercyhurst Invitational, hosted at Lake View Country Club, on Sunday-Monday, Sept. 23-24 in Erie, Pennsylvania.
