Gannon Wins 'Battle of the Knights' on Late OT Goal

URBANA, Ohio – The Urbana men's soccer team hosted the first fall sports event on campus with Saturday's regional tilt against Gannon, as the 'Battle of the Knights' went to overtime for the second time in three years.

This time, it was the visiting Golden Knights who edged UU 1-0 on a late goal in the second overtime period. The Blue Knights defeated Gannon with an OT goal two years ago at UU Stadium, 3-2.

UU (0-1-1) opens up conference play next week with a trip to West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday, Sept. 12.
