Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – With the two-seed in the conference tournament on the line, two early goals sunk Urbana University men's soccer in Sunday's 2-0 setback at Notre Dame College.
Niklas Bohlin scored his 11th goal of the season, and second against Urbana, to lift Notre Dame College in the seventh minute. The Falcons close out the season at 12-3-2 (12-2-2 MEC). Varis Khera added the second goal in the 17th minute. Both were assisted by Nicholas Felician.
The Blue Knights, who have not won in South Euclid since 2015, managed just two shots on goal, one each by
Marvin Zott and
Luke Nicholls. Goalkeeper
Jakob Henriksen finished with two saves.
Urbana finishes the regular season at 10-5-3 overall and 10-4-2 in league play.
The Blue Knights will wait to see the result of Sunday's 3:30 match between West Virginia Wesleyan and Davis & Elkins to learn whether they'll be the third or fourth seed in this week's tournament. A Wesleyan win bumps Urbana down to fourth in the final standings.
