URBANA, Ohio — The Urbana University men's and women's swimming teams competed at home on Friday night against Ohio Wesleyan University.
Ohio Wesleyan beat the Blue Knights 98-52 in the men's dual and the visiting Battling Bishops beat the women's team 108-56.
Men's team results:
The UU men's team had a total of four first place finishes and two second place finishes. First place finishers were Tomas Olivos in the 100 yard Butterfly(:55.99) and 100 yard Breaststroke 1:04.04 and Dakota Lewis-Griggs in the 100 yard Backstroke(:57.13). Second place finishers were Mathew Wheeler in the 100 yard freestyle (:56.21) and Nathan Hart in the 200 yard freestyle(2:08.62). Also, the men's 400 yard freestyle relay team of Olivos, Wheeler, Hart and Lewis-Griggs received first place(3:47.08).
Women's team results:
The women's team had a total of five first place finishes and three second place finishes. First place finishers were Jaelle Lindon in the 50 yard freestyle(26.40) and 100 yard freestyle(1:00.31) and Jaybreona Foster in the 100 yard breaststroke(1:14.00). Second place finishers were Magdaline Perry in the 1000 yard freestyle(12:35.47), Ashlynn Miller in the 200 yard freestyle(2:14.78) and Jaybreona Foster in the 200 yard IM(2:33.11). Also, the women's 400 yard freestyle relay team of Miller, Perry, Foster and Lindon had a first place finish with a time of 4:09.44.
