MEET RESULTS
DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Urbana University swim teams closed out the 2018 portion of their schedule at the Corbiere-Merion Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday and Sunday.
The UU women's team finished sixth with 193 points while the Blue Knight men's team ended up in seventh place with 135 points.
On the women's side, sophomore
Jaybreona Foster led the Blue Knights with a pair of fifth-place finishes in the breaststroke events. Foster recorded a finals time of 1:13.25 in the 100 Breast and then timed out at 2:39.07 in the 200 Breast. She also placed sixth in the 100 IM.
Six others appeared in races over the weekend, including
Ashlynn Miller,
Magdaline Perry,
Jaelle Lindon,
Holly Fisher,
Brooke Kiracofe and
Madison Curtner. Lindon placed ninth in the 50 Free (26.21) while Miller recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in the 200 Fly (6th) and 1650 Free (10th).
The women's relay teams also competed in the 200 medley, 200 free, 400 free and 400 medley events.
For the men's team, senior
Dakota Lewis-Griggs paced the Blue Knights with three top-10 finishes. He placed third in the 100 Back with a finals time of 55.44 and then placed sixth in the 200 Back and seventh in the 100 IM.
Additionally,
Tomas Olivos had a pair of top-10 finishes in the 100 Breast (eighth) and 100 IM (6th).
Nathan Hart and Matthew Wheeler also competed for the Blue Knights in freestyle and breaststroke events.
The men's relay teams raced in the 200 free, 200 medley and 400 free relay events.
