URBANA, Ohio — Urbana University men's and women's swimming hosted Thomas More in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Grimes Center.
The Blue Knights came up short with the men falling 72-50 and the visiting Saints beat the women's team 79-63.
Men's team results:
The Urbana men's team had a total of three first place finishes and six second place finishes. First place finishers for UU were Dakota Lewis-Griggs in the 50 yard freestyle(:24.91) and Tomas Olivos in the 100 yard freestyle(:54:22) and 200 yard breaststroke(2:25.78). Second place finishers were Mathew Wheeler in the 50 yard freestyle(:25.36) and 100 yard freestyle(:55.85), Lewis-Griggs in the 200 yard breaststroke(2:15.18) and Nathan Hart in the 500 yard freestyle(6.11.24). The 400 yard relay team of Lewis-Griggs, Hart, Olivos and Wheeler received second place(4:01.80).
Women's team results:
The lady Blue Knights had a total of four first place finishes and four second place finishes. First place finishers for the Blue Knights were Jaybreona Foster in the 200 yard breaststroke(2:46.13), Jaelle Lindon in the 100 yard freestyle(:59.90) and Ashlynn Miller in the 200 yard butterfly(2:35.7). Second place finishers were Magdaline Perry in the 200 yard freestyle(2:18.11), Foster in the 400 yard IM(5:29.64), Lindon in the 50 yard freestyle(:26.58) and Miller in the 500 yard freestyle(6:07.29).
