Blue Knights Race at Ohio Wesleyan Invitational

POWELL, Ohio -- The Urbana men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational, hosted Saturday morning at Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio. The Blue Knights were one of 18 teams in the second race of the season.

On the women's side, senior Alyssa Strickland led UU with a time of 28:45.1 (209th) in the 6K race. Also competing were Ashley Long (29:47.6), Ashlynn Miller (35:13.2) and Holly Fisher (39:56.1).

On the men's side, Andre Hawes (38:12.2) and Joe Brown (38:39.1) finished back-to-back in the 8K event.

Up next:
The Blue Knights will train during an off week to prepare for the Columbus State Community College's Cougar Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23.
