URBANA, Ohio – For the second time in less than 24 hours, Urbana men's and women's swimming took the pool as the Blue Knights hosted Tiffin on Saturday.
The Urbana women's team fell 114-74 in the head-to-head competition with the Dragons, while the men's team fell 157-45.
Jaybreona Foster led the way with a pair of Gold finishes in the 100 and 200 Breast with times of 1:13.44 and 2:39.92, respectively. Foster also recorded silver in the 200 IM less than day after recording her personal best in the same event.
Additionally,
Magdaline Perry set a new personal best in the 200 Free at 2:14.95 (1st) while
Cady Perry claimed the final Gold finish for Urbana in the 200 Back with a time of 2:38.52.
The Urbana women's 400 Free Relay squad of
Jaelle Lindon,
Magdaline Perry,
Ashlynn Miller and
Jaybreona Foster finished second with a finals time of 4:16.43.
On the men's side,
Matt Wheeler earned the lone top finish with a finals time of 53.97 in the 100 Free. He also finished second in the 50 Free and third in the 100 Back.
The Blue Knights men's 400 Free Relay team of
Tomas Olivos,
Nathan Hart and
Matt Wheeler also came in second with a time of 3:41.50.
UP NEXT: Urbana has two meets remaining until the conference championships on Feb. 12-15. UU will host Thomas More next Saturday, Jan. 25, before traveling to Manchester (IN) on Saturday, Feb. 1.
