Women's Golf Eighth at Shriners Hospital Shootout

MASON, W. Va. – The Urbana University women's golf team placed eighth at the Shriners Hospital Shootout, hosted by Ohio Valley University at the Riverside Golf Course.

UU combined for a two-round total team score of 865, finishing one stroke ahead of ninth-place West Liberty University. The Blue Knights posted a 456 in the opening round and then improved in the final round with a team score of 409.

Freshman Alivia Koenig led the Blue Knights in 27th place with a 36-hole score of 200. Freshman Dana Jones carded the low round of the tournament for Urbana with a 91 on Day 2. Jones finished 29th with a total score of 203.

The rest of the Blue Knight lineup included Allyson Hemmelgarn (35th/219), Cassidy Kraft (42nd/243), Alexis Moore (44th/272) and Hailey Webb (47th/292).

UP NEXT: UU closes out the fall slate with the Mountain East Conference Championship on Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 7-9, hosted at The Resort at Glade Springs.
