Koenig Places 10th at Heidelberg Invite

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Urbana University women's golf team finished 12th at the Heidelberg Fall Invitational, hosted Saturday and Sunday at Mohawk Golf and Country Club.

UU recorded a total team score of 827 with individual round scores of 399 and 428.

Freshman Alivia Koenig placed 10th overall to lead the Blue Knights. She carded a team-low 84 in the opening round and 87 in the final round to finish at 27-over par 72 (171).

The Blue Knight lineup also included Allyson Hemmelgarn (204), Cassidy Kraft (225), Lexi Moore (250) and Dana Jones (101 – one round). Additionally, Hailey Webb (277) competed as an individual.

The College of Wooster and Mount St. Joseph tied for the team title with both teams posting an overall score of 691. MSJ ended up coming out on top after winning the first playoff hole.

Individually, Rio Grande's Rafaella Gioffre claimed low-medalist with 36-hole total score of 163 (+19).

UP NEXT: UU travels to the Shriners Hospital for Children Intercollegiate, hosted by Ohio Valley University on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 28-29. The final tune-up before the MEC Championship will be played at Riverside Golf Course in Mason, West Virginia.
