Women's Golf Places Ninth at MEC Championship

DANIELS, W. Va. – The Urbana University women's golf team placed ninth at the 2019 MEC Championship, hosted at The Resort at Glade Springs. UU finished with an overall 36-hole team score of 850 after posting a 410 in the second round.

Alivia Koenig shaved off four strokes and carded a 92 to lead the Blue Knights on Day 2. The freshman carded a team-low 188 to finish tied for 26th in her MEC Championship debut.

The rest of the lineup included Cassidy Kraft (216/45th), Dana Jones (223/t39th), Allyson Hemmelgarn (223/39th) and Alexis Moore (246/45th).

Charleston claimed the team title with a 54-hole total of 977, led by medalist Elizabeth Karsten (232).
