Cross Country Competes at All-Ohio Championship

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The All-Ohio Collegiate XC Championships were ran Saturday at Cedarville University and the Urbana University cross country teams finished strong in the blistering heat.

The Blue Knight women's team finished the 6-kilometer race with a total of 1116 points while the men's team tallied 1242 points in the 8-kilometer race. Both teams from the University of Dayton swept the team titles with the Flyers women's team needing just 73 points to claim the title while the men's team needed 93.

Darshay Foster finished the women's course in a time of 30:05.5 while Ashlynn Miller crossed the finish line as the next closest Blue Knight with a time of 33:35.5.

Matthew Hull's 35:25.6 was best on the Blue Knight men's team followed by Daniel Quiroz's 39:00.4.

The University of Akron swept the individual crowns with Mackenzie Andrews won the women's race with a 21:42.6 over the 5-kilometer course while Andre Bollam-Godbott won's the men's race at a pace of 25:05.8.

Both Urbana teams return to action on Friday, October 11 when they travel to Wilmington College for the Jenna Strong Fall Classic. The women's race is set to start at 4:30 p.m. and the men's race will follow at 5:15 p.m.
