WHEELING, W. Va. – Senior Sylvia Hudson became the first women's basketball player from Urbana University to be named to the All-Mountain East Conference Tournament Team, the league announced Sunday afternoon at the conclusion of the championship games at WesBanco Arena.

Hudson put on a show Thursday night with 37 points in Urbana's narrow loss to Concord in the quarterfinals. She gave everything she had in her final game, hitting 12 of her first 13 shots and knocked down a career-high three 3-pointers. The Sidney, Ohio native finished with a career-high 14 made field goals on 18 attempts.

Thursday's performance was the second-highest point total of Hudson's career and a new postseason record for the UU women's basketball program. It also tied for the third-most points scored during an MEC Tournament game by any player.

Hudson closed her career as the all-time leading scorer in UU women's basketball history (1,860) and holds the best field-goal percentage (59.5) in school history.

She set the new league record for most points scored in MEC games (1,526).

In 29 games this season, Hudson averaged a career-best 20.7 per night while totaling 599 points on 61-percent shooting.
