ELKINS, W. Va. – The Urbana University Acrobatics & Tumbling team made history by securing its first win in program history Saturday at Davis & Elkins College.

Courtney Stack's squad came out on top by a final score of 244.305 to 237.045 in the season opener for both teams.
Davis & Elkins edged the Blue Knights with a compulsory total of 32.45 to 32.20 to begin the meet.
Then, the Blue Knights rebounded with a strong showing in the acro event, highlighted by a 9.30 out of 9.60 in the first heat, to take over the lead with a running total of 58.65 to 55.45.
Urbana remained in front, holding on for a narrow lead going into halftime with an 85.30 to 82.05 advantage following the pyramid – a lead that the Blue Knights wouldn't relinquish.
UP NEXT: Urbana will host its home opener on Sunday, Feb. 16 against Glenville State College. The start time is scheduled for 2 p.m. inside the Grimes Center.
