Courtney Stack

Courtney Stack is the first head acrobatics & tumbling coach at Urbana University. She began her duties in the fall of 2017.

"I'm pleased to announce that Courtney Stack will be the first-ever head coach for our women's Acro-Tumbling team", UU Executive Director of Athletics Larry Cox said. "She's from the Midwest and competed collegiately at a school in the MEC so she will be very familiar with the type of student-athletes that will be a great fit here at Urbana. With her passion, drive, and commitment to this new sport, I think we have the perfect person to lead the inaugural version of our Blue Knight Acro-Tumbling program."

Stack graduated from Fairmont State University in the spring of 2017. She was a four-year member of the Fighting Falcon Acrobatics and Tumbling team, where she helped FSU capture a national championship in the six-element acro individual event last April.

The Pittsburgh native is extremely excited to get started in her first collegiate coaching job.

"I look forward to building this program," Stack said. "I want to thank Larry Cox and Dr. [Christopher] Washington for having confidence in me. I believe through my dedication, passion, and experience within Acrobatics and Tumbling that I will be a valuable addition to Urbana University."

Stack worked the previous four years at Pittsburgh Superstars, a training gym for competitive cheerleading in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. There, she oversaw training and conditioning for athletes ages three to 18.

Stack earned her degree in exercise science and she was named to the 2016 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) Honor Roll.

UU becomes the first Ohio school and 19th member to join the rapidly growing National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA). The Blue Knights will begin competition in 2019.
