URBANA, Ohio – The Urbana University men's wrestling team fell 29-8 to No. 8 Ashland on Wednesday night inside the Grimes Center.
UU (3-10) picked up points via major decision wins by
Cole Houser and
Connor Dixon.
Houser defeated Ashland's Nick Carbone 12-0 in the 157 pound matchup. The sophomore from Bellefontaine improved to 17-5 on the season. He is currently ranked fourth in the latest NCAA Division II Super Region 3 rankings.
Dixon opened the dual with an impressive 12-3 major decision over AU's Brahm Ginter to put the Blue Knights ahead 4-0. The Huntsville native is 11-6 overall and sits sixth in the DII SR3 rankings released earlier today.
UP NEXT: UU travels back to West Liberty University next weekend for the Mountain East Conference championships.
