Wrestling sends five competitors to Greyhound Open

INDIANAPOLIS – Urbana men's wrestling sent five wrestlers to the Greyhound Open and tallied a pair of wins at the event hosted by UIndy on Sunday.

Seth Duvall earned the lone Blue Knight victory in a championship bracket bout. The freshman from Circleville pinned Bellarmine's Cameron Broussard in 5:22 for his second win at 197 pounds.

Duvall moved on to the quarterfinals where he would lose by major decision to Indiana Tech's Josh Hill. He then fell by tech fall against another Indiana Tech wrestler, Mykiel Stallings.

Sophomore David Gilbert picked up the second win for the Blue Knights and his fourth 'dub of the season in the 174-pound class.

After falling to Maryville's James Anding in the opening round of the championship bracket, Gilbert rebounded quickly by pinning Ancilla's Trystan Van Der Aa in 36 seconds. He would move on to face Indiana's Sean Grim in the Consolation Round 2 and fell by major decision.

Freshman Cameron Carnevale made an appearance at 165 pounds while sophomore Dylan Knotts also appeared in the 174 class with Gilbert. Freshman Jack Minner made a showing in the 184-pound bracket.

UP NEXT: Urbana will host Lake Erie College Friday night in the final dual meet of the season at 7 p.m. ET.

The NCAA regionals are slated for Saturday, Feb. 29 in Indianapolis.
