CANTON, Ohio -- Urbana featured five swimmers in finals events as the 2019 GMAC/MEC Conference Championships continued Friday at C.T. Branin Nataorium.
Sophomore
Jaybreona Foster collected her second postseason award by claiming All-MEC Second Team in the women's 100 Breast. Foster placed 12th in the event with a finals time of 1:13.47 and picked up 13 points for the Blue Knights.
Senior
Dakota Lewis-Griggs finished ninth in the men's 100 Back, earning 20 points with a time of 54.92. Fellow senior
Matt Wheeler also qualified for the 100 Back and posted a 14th-place time of 59.78, good for 13 points.
Also on the men's side, Jacob Voisinet (1:02.72) and
Tomas Olivos (1:02.87) placed 18th and 20th, respectively, in the 100 Breast finals race.
Both UU teams remain in eighth place as the women's squad carries 161 points into Saturday's final session, and the men with 192.5.

UU will close out the championships Saturday as prelims for the 100 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast and 1650 Free begin in the morning.
