Ford advances to Day 2 at Midwest Classic

INDIANAPOLIS – Urbana's Jared Ford will wrestle on Day 2 of the Midwest Classic with a chance to become the first Blue Knight to place at the prestigious event. Ford and teammate Cole Houser led the Blue Knights in the first day of competition on Saturday.

Ford, who went 2-2 at last year's Midwest Classic, improved with a 3-1 showing this year at 149 pounds including three straight wins after dropping to the consolation bracket. He'll go up against Maryville's Tyler Stegall tomorrow and with a win can clinch a top-eight finish.
