Blue Knights Roll Past Pioneers

GLENVILLE, W. Va. – Urbana rolled past Glenville State in straight sets Saturday morning inside GSC's Waco Center by final scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-19.

With the victory, Urbana improved to 10-8 (6-1 MEC) with wins in seven of its past eight matches. The host Glenville State squad fell to 2-17 (0-7 MEC).

Lexi Reinert led the attack with 10 kills as seven different Blue Knights had at least three kills. Freshman Olivia Tincher posted three kills in the third set while redshirt- freshman Hayley Delor recorded a career-high 18 assists with five kills over three sets played.

UU dominated at the net with a season-high 12 total blocks as Reinert and Kaitlin Trace each logged seven block assists. Additionally, Natalie Perez chipped in with four. Courtney Niesen and Hannah Delor notched a team-high 15 digs.

The Blue Knights outhit the Pioneers .252 to .087 overall in the match.

UP NEXT: UU steps out of conference play with Tuesday's match at Cedarville. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. against the Yellow Jackets.
