FINDLAY, Ohio -- Urbana University women's basketball suffered an 93-62 defeat against Findlay in Wednesday's non-conference action inside Croy Gymnasium.
Coming off an 11-day break, Findlay (2-0) blitzed the Blue Knights early by going up 16-0 at the first media timeout. Urbana (0-4), which played its third game in five days, started 3 of 12 from the field and had six turnovers in the first quarter.
The Oilers used their height to establish an inside presence and outscored the Blue Knights 50-14 on points in the paint. UF grabbed 15 offensive boards in the first half and out-rebounded UU 53-38 overall. The Oilers also took advantage of 22 UU turnovers with 20 points off those takeaways.
UU never recovered from the early drought and trailed 51-25 at halftime. The deficit swelled to as much as 35 near the end of the third quarter.

Sa'Dera Johnson and freshman guard
Kami McEldowney led the Blue Knights with 12 points each. McEldowney hit three of her four 3-pointers in the first half and finished with three rebounds and two assists. Johnson scored seven points in the second half and dished out a team-high three assists.

Nikki Current pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
UU was limited to 24-percent shooting in the first half and ended up shooting just 33 percent overall from the floor. UF shot 44 percent overall on field-goal attempts.
Anna Hintz led the Oilers with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Elissa Ellerbrock also posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

UU will take a week off from game action, returning to conference play next Wednesday with a road trip to West Liberty University. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. in West Liberty, West Virginia.
