BUCKHANNON, W. Va. -- The Urbana University men's and women's swimming teams competed against West Virginia Wesleyan in conference dual action Friday night.
Wesleyan moved past the Blue Knights 155-28 in the men's dual and the host Bobcats also clawed past the UU women, 165-29.
Tomas Olivos claimed the only top-finish for UU with a first-place time of 1:03.3 in the 100-yard breaststroke. He also finished second in the 100-yard butterfly and third in the 50-yard freestyle. Teammate
Dakota Lewis-Griggs placed second in the 50 free (24.12) and second in the 100-yard backstroke (57.24).
Nathan Hart also appeared in three events, including the 50-yard (25.13) and 100-yard freestyle (56.91) along with the 100-yard breast.
On the women's side,
Jaelle Lindon led the Blue Knights with a pair of second-place times in the freestyle races. She posted 27.45 in the 50 free and followed that up with 1:03.83 in the 100 free.
Jaybreona Foster also produced a second-place finish in the 100 breast with a finals time of 1:13.85.
Ashlynn Miller (200 & 500 free) and
Magdaline Perry (500 & 1000 free) raced in two individual events while
Madison Curtner made her debut in three events (50 free, 100 free, 100 back).
The UU women's 400-yard medley relay team recorded a finals time of 5:01.05.
