Blue Knights Defeated by Wheeling Jesuit

WHEELING, W. Va. -- After winning the first set, Urbana volleyball could not sustain momentum in a 3-1 setback Saturday afternoon at RV Wheeling Jesuit.

The Blue Knights won the opener 25-21, but fell in the next three frames 25-23, 25-13 and 25-21.

Junior Cecily Clark led UU with 18 kills while senior Katlynn Dunlap finished with 17 kills and 12 digs for her eighth double-double. Freshmen duo Anna Davis and Deandra Atwood combined for 53 assists.

WJU hit .357 as a team while UU hit a solid .255 with three aces and eight team blocks.

Up next:
UU travels to Columbus on Tuesday to take on Ohio Dominican in a 6:30 p.m. match.
