Shooting Sports Assists Ohio School for the Blind

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Urbana University shooting sports club is assisting the Ohio State School for the Blind in developing a National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) this fall. NASP promotes the teaching of target archery as a part of the in-school curriculum to improve educational performance of students and encourage their participation in the shooting sports.

Club director Ken McCabe spent time training 11 blind and visually impaired students during a week-long sports camp hosted at the Columbus-based school. Champaign County 4H Shooting Sports also provided assistance.
