URBANA, Ohio – The Urbana University volleyball team played host to Notre Dame College in its 'Dig Pink' match, topping the Falcons 3-1 for an important league win inside a packed Grimes Center Tuesday night.

The Blue Knights are now winners of three straight, and improved to 10-12 overall and 4-6 against Mountain East Conference foes.

The Blue Knights got off to a hot start, dominating the opening set 25-16. Notre Dame responded in the second set 25-22, but Urbana bounced right back, winning the next two sets 25-16 and 25-19.

Leading the offense for UU was sophomore Aleese Butler with a career-high 16 kills. Madison Davis and Katlynn Dunlap also had double-digit kills, with 12 and 11, respectively.

Dunlap also led the defensive side with 20 digs, and libero Brianna Burkhalter contributed with 18 digs as well.

Mary Hendricks remained consistent at her setter position, dishing out 51 helpers across the four sets. She also added double-digit digs with 10 for her eighth double-double of the season.

Urbana returns to action on Friday, Oct. 30, when they hit the road to play Shepherd.
