2016 (Junior Season): 2016-17 UU Female Scholar Athlete of the Year ... appeared in 33 matches and made nine starts ... missed only match due to attending the NCAA Leadership Forum in Baltimore, Md ... ranked sixth on the team in digs with 169 total in 123 sets played (1.37/set) ... finished with fourth-most aces on the squad with 34, equaling her total from 2015 ... had at least one ace in 21 matches, posting a season-high three on four separate occasions ... named to the All-MEC Academic Team ... again appeared on the AD's Honor Roll in both semesters.

2015 (Sophomore Season): Competed in all 30 matches and recorded 13 starts, primarily as a defensive specialist...Finished third on the team in sets played (105) and total digs (280)...Had at least one dig in all but one match while averaging 2.67 digs per set...Post double-digit digs in half of the UU contests, including a career-high 24 in a five-set thriller against UVa-Wise...She also recorded 20 digs vs. Ohio Valley...Burkhalter had a solid year in serving, recording the second-most aces (34) on the team...Named to the All-MEC Academic Team...Appeared on the AD's Honor Roll in each of the fall and spring semesters.

2014 (Freshman Season): Appeared in 23 matches and made 12 starts...Finished with three assists, 13 aces (fifth on the team), and 78 digs (sixth on the team)...Recorded a season-high 14 digs vs. Slippery Rock on September 13.

High School: At Shelby, she was named an Academic Scholar Athlete, honorable mention all-league, first team all-league, third team all-District 6 and defensive player of the year...She also received the Captain's Award and the Sportsmanship Award...She has been playing club ball since fourth grade for Northshore Volleyball Club and MOJO Volleyball Club.
