Previous College: Played his freshman campaign at Lourdes University in 2018-19... made 18 appearances off the bench while averaging 1.1 points and 1.0 rebounds per game... he scored a season-high six points at Kent State-Tuscarawas (Dec. 17, 2018)... recorded season-highs in rebounds (4) and assists (4) at Indiana Tech (Feb. 13, 2019).

High School: Three-sport athlete in basketball, football and soccer at Tippecanoe... earned three varsity letters in basketball... named first-team all-league and first-team all-area as a senior... finished sixth in scoring in the GWOC with 18.4 points per game and seventh in assists with 4.4 per contest... played AAU/club for All Ohio... named 2017 GWOC North Division Athlete of the Year and first team all-conference in soccer after leading the conference with 20 goals... helped lead his team to a North Division title and 19-2-1 record as a senior... he was also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Caiden is the son of Roman and Tina Smith... he has one brother, Peyton, and one sister, Kenna... he plans on studying early childhood education at Urbana University.
