BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The seedings and pairings for the 2020 Mountain East Conference Men's Basketball Tournament presented by The Healthplan have been finalized after the conclusion of today's action.

The top 10 teams qualify for the tournament at WesBanco Arena, with the top six seeds earning byes. West Liberty, the No. 1 seed for the tournament, captured its sixth MEC regular-season title in the last seven years earlier in the week. The Hilltoppers are seeking its second MEC Tournament title, though, after having won the title in 2017.Â
The other teams receiving first-round bye are Charleston, Fairmont State, West Virginia State, Wheeling and Glenville State.
West Virginia Wesleyan is the No. 7 seed and will open the tournament against 10th-seeded Urbana on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., who clinched a berth on the final day of the regular season winning at the buzzer against Notre Dame. Concord is seeded eighth and will take on ninth-seeded Notre Dame at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday night.Â
