TIGERVILLE, S.C. – After taking the first set, Urbana men's volleyball fell off in a 3-1 setback Tuesday night at North Greenville.
Tyler Chavez led the Blue Knights with 14 points on 12 kills with an ace and a block.
Liam Morrissey had two aces and added seven kills while
Jack Brinkman and
Preston Kent each tallied six kills.
Setter
Chaz Hafer registered 25 assists and a career-high 13 digs. Chavez, Morrissey and
Tomas Beralas each logged five digs.
Urbana (1-19) won the opening set 25-22 before falling 25-20 in the next two frames. North Greenville (10-9) closed out the match with a 25-18 victory in Set 4.
The Crusaders outhit the Blue Knights .327 to .110 with a 53-34 advantage in kills.
Jackson Gilbert recorded 20 kills and three aces to lead the hosts.
