CLEVELAND, Tenn. --
Urbana (1-5) bounced back with a 4-3 victory in Game 2 of Saturday's non-conference doubleheader at Lee (8-8). The Blue Knights fell 17-1 in the opener at Olympic Field.

The two teams are slated to play the rubber match tomorrow afternoon with a noon first pitch.

//  GAME 1
Lee led 8-0 after three innings and cruised to the Game 1 victory in nine innings. The Flames got on the board with six runs in the second and UU starter Jackson Everman (1.2 IP, 5 H, 4 ER) was lifted early after being struck by comebacker. The hosts also scored two in the third, three in the sixth and six more in the eighth, while totaling 12 hits.

The Blue Knights left seven runners on base, grounded into three double plays and were limited to five hits. Freshman Tyler Dellerman went 2 for 3 with a walk while Robbie Guerrero III, Austin Pratt and Deion Tubbs each collected a hit. It was the first multi-hit effort for Dellerman and first career hit for Tubbs.

UU scored its only run in the sixth when Griffin Stevens scored on an infield error.

Lee's starter Randall Coxwell (1-0) earned his first win of the season with five shutout innings on the mound. Miguel Pimentel led the Flames at the plate, going 4 for 5 with a two-run home run in the eighth.

//  GAME 2
In his first career start, Cole Weaver (1-0) tossed six-and-two-thirds and earned the victory in the seven-inning contest. The freshman right-hander allowed one earned run and surrendered five hits with three strikeouts and three walks.

The Blue Knights overcame an early 1-0 deficit by plating three runs in the third on three hits. Pratt and Justin Donovan started off the frame with back-to-back singles, followed by a Tubbs walk and wild pitch to allow the tying run to score. Then, Griffin Stevens delivered the go-ahead run with a single up the middle and an RBI groundout from Chase Carney made it 3-1.

Weaver found his groove by retiring 12 of the next 14 batters. He allowed two runners in the fourth, but otherwise made easy work of the Flames until the seventh.

In what proved to be the winning run, Carney came up clutch in UU's final at-bat with a two-out RBI double down the left field line, which scored Stevens from first base.

The Flames threatened with a sac fly and two-out RBI single in the seventh. But, sophomore Ryan Townsend came on to slam the door shut with the tying and winning runs in scoring position, picking up his first career save.

UU totaled six hits led by Carney's 2-for-4 (2 RBI) effort. Freshman Briley Harlan notched his first career hit while Pratt, Guerrero and Stevens had the other base knocks.

Catcher Cody Smith led the Flames, going 2 for 3 (RBI) with a double. Lee's starting pitcher Alex Butler (2-1) was tagged with the loss in five innings of work with only one earned run charged.
