URBANA, Ohio – Urbana University women's volleyball swept West Liberty University Friday night to record its program record 11th conference win. The Blue Knights, who remain undefeated at home this season and earned their sixth win in a row, won by final scores of 25-20, 25-18 & 25-23 inside Grimes Center.
UU moves to 16-9 overall and 11-1 in conference play to keep its grasp on second place in the league standings. West Liberty fell to 15-13 (7-6 MEC). The Blue Knights will host first-place No. 15 Wheeling University, the only league team to defeat UU, Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET.
Hannah Delor and
Lexi Reinert each produced 15 kills to lead the Urbana attack. Delor registered a double-double with 15 kills and 16 digs along with setter
Anna Davis who had 37 assists and 11 digs. Libero
Courtney Niesen collected a team-high 17 digs and
Jenna Franks recorded 10.
The Blue Knights outhit the Hilltoppers .243 to .151 and held a 50-35 advantage in kills.
West Liberty's Madison Clayton led the visitors with 11 kills while Jo Lyn Jurek had 19 digs.
