URBANA, Ohio — The Urbana University women's basketball team suffered a 78-63 loss against University of Charleston in a home conference matchup on Wednesday night in the Grimes Center.
UU drops to 1-6 and 1-4 in MEC games while UC improves to 8-1 and 5-0 in the MEC.
The Blue Knights opened the game with a Megan Beachy free throw after a technical foul on UC's bench. Shortly after, UC took the lead and kept it throughout the entire game.

Urbana made a total of 11 free throws on 13 attempts for a percentage of 84.6. Along with 15 bench points and a lead in rebounds with a total of 33.
Charleston led in steals with 18 and 11 offensive rebounds. Both Urbana and Charleston made four three-pointers.
// Stat Leaders
Junior forward Sylvia Hudson broke a new career high of 30 points and was 6-7 on free throws. She produced her 21st career double-double with 11 boards. Additionally, Sa'Dera Johnson recorded a total of 10 points.
UC's Raziyah Farrington and Anna Hayton each scored in the double digits. Farrington had a team-high of 30 points and was 4-4 on free throws while Hayton recorded 26 points and was 6-7 on free throws.
