Urbana and West Liberty End in Scoreless Draw

WEST LIBERTY, W. Va -- The Urbana women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against West Liberty in Mountain East Conference action Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue Knights now stand at 1-7-1 overall and 1-6-1 in league play. It was the second draw of the season for the host Hilltoppers, who moved to 2-5-2 overall (1-5-2 MEC).

Freshman forward Alyssa Edwards fired UU's last shot with two minutes left in the second overtime period, missing wide. Then, UU had another opportunity with a corner kick a minute later but couldn't take advantage.

The Hilltoppers outshot the Blue Knights 21-9 with a 11-2 edge in shots on goal. UU keeper Katherine Beech held steady between the posts and recorded 11 saves to run her season total to 58 (6.4/game).
