Shepherd Moves Past Urbana 1-0

URBANA, Ohio - The Urbana women's soccer team fell to 1-4 on the year following a 1-0 setback against Shepherd Thursday afternoon at UU Stadium.

UU, which dropped to 1-3 in league play, ended up with 10 shots and three on frame during the 90 minutes of action.

Shepherd earned its first win on a 34th-minute goal by Danielle Fernandez. The game-winner found a gap in the right upper 90 and just out of reach from UU keeper Katherine Beech.

Both goalkeepers posted three saves while Shepherd held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

UU continues league play this weekend when it travels to Wheeling Jesuit, Kickoff at Bishop Schmitt Field is slated for 5:30 p.m. ET.
