UU won twice Friday over the Scots, 13-7 & 13-5

BECKLEY, W. Va. – Urbana University baseball scored a season-high 13 runs in each game of Friday's doubleheader sweep of Ohio Valley at Epling Stadium. The Blue Knights came out on top 13-7 in the first game and then claimed the series win following a 13-5 victory in Game 2.

Isac Franklin led things off with a single and later scored on an error to tie the game at 7-7. Then, Dylan Sheffer came up with a clutch pinch-hit single to center field to put UU back in front 9-7.

Daniel Quiroz later doubled with two outs in the inning, putting two runners in scoring position, then Mickey Barea, Damario Brown and Franklin provided three consecutive hits that ended up scoring four more runs.

That put the Blue Knights ahead 7-1 and UU added three more in the fourth and three in the sixth to cruise the rest of the way.
