Mark Schwitzgable joined the Urbana women's basketball program as assistant coach prior to the start of the 2017-18 season. He will also serve as the head women's golf coach at UU.
Schwitzgable holds local ties after graduating from Northeastern High School in Springfield, where he was named to the Ohio Southwest District All-Star Team and twice served as team captain of the boy's basketball team.
Schwitzgable went on to earn a pair of degrees from Ohio University, where he worked with the Bobcat women's basketball program as a student manager, and was then elevated to a graduate assistant coach. He was a member of the 2015 NCAA Tournament squad and 2016 WNIT Sweet 16 team.
