Matt Williamson enters his second season with Urbana football and will serve as co-defensive coordinator along with coaching the defensive line and special teams units. He joined the staff in the spring of 2017 as defensive line coach and special teams coordinator.

Williamson, a native of Columbus, Ohio, carries coaching experience at both the DII and DIII levels, most recently serving as an assistant coach at Seton Hill. He previously coached at his alma mater, Mount Union.

Williamson played in 53 games for powerful Mount Union and was a two-time All-OAC First Team defensive lineman. In 2008 and 2009, he started all 30 games and was a two-time All-OAC First Team and two-time D3Football.com All-American selection.

Matt graduated from Mount Union in 2010.
