URBANA, Ohio – Urbana's
Brett Bell tossed seven shutout frames Wednesday to help the Blue Knights snap an eight-game skid by defeating Findlay, 5-2, at Blue Knight Field.
In his first career start, Bell struck out eight batters and left with a 2-0 lead. The freshman southpaw is the first starter to shut out an opponent this season.
The Oilers tied it up with two runs in the eighth, but the Blue Knights responded with three in the bottom half. After a pair of walks, sophomore

Briley Harlan recorded back-to-back, go-ahead singles.
Fifth-year senior
Jackson Everman slammed the door in the ninth for his third career save. Everman has not allowed an earned run in four of his past five outings. Sophomore
Ryan Townsend (1-0) picked up his first collegiate win, despite the blown save.
Senior
Austin Pratt went 2 for 4 with his first home run and a double. He's the eighth player to hit a long ball this season – a new single-season record for the program's D2 era. Drennen (2 for 4) also logged a pair of hits and junior
Daniel Quiroz added an RBI base knock. Senior
Mickey Losey reached twice on a hit and walk, raising his reached-base streak to 15 straight games.
Both teams had eight hits and one error. Findlay's Derrick Herd, Trevor Anderson and Austin Rawlins had two hits each. The Oilers used six pitchers with reliever Ben Calisto (1-1) charged with the loss.

UU's four-game series against Fairmont State has been rescheduled for Monday-Tuesday, April 22-23, at Blue Knight Field. Both doubleheaders are set for 1 p.m. start times.
